Electronic scrap conveyors

Conveying and metering at once, in separation and sorting plants — with material that is abrasive in part.

Electronic scrap conveyors — Wildfellner conveying system in service

Electronic scrap is a valuable material containing high-grade and expensive raw materials. They are recovered in elaborate separation and sorting plants.

The conveying system has a double task there: it does not only transport, it also meters. A sorting step only works as well as the material flow reaching it. Matching the conveying system to the actual recycling process therefore matters more than maximum throughput.

Making it harder, cables and wires are in the material flow — precisely what wraps around a centre shaft. And parts of the material are strongly abrasive, which is why wear protection largely determines service life and with it plant availability.

  • 01

    Convey and meter

An even material flow as the condition for clean separation.

  • 02

    Cables do not wrap up

Without a centre shaft there is no axle for wires to wrap around.

  • 03

    Staged wear protection

From carbide linings to surface coatings, depending on the fraction.

Further tasks from Recycling

  • Treatment plants for scrapHorizontal-vertical combinations replace several belt conveyors — taking far less space, with enclosed routing.
  • Glass conveyorsBulky and highly abrasive at the same time — carbide linings and surface coatings stand up to the wear.
  • Conveyors for plasticsFrom granulate and regrind to PET flakes and whole bottles — as metering, machine feeding or discharge screw.
