Moving floor discharge — Wildfellner conveying system in service

A horizontal trough conveyor takes the material out of the hydraulically driven moving floor over a length you define. In most cases a vertical conveyor follows.

The critical point of this application is matching the moving floor to the trough screw. If the moving floor delivers more than the screw takes away, the trough overflows — and the vertical conveyor downstream receives more material than it can handle. We therefore size the horizontal trough screw deliberately to the output of the moving floor, not the other way round.

Depending on the bulk material the vertical conveyor works in pull or in push mode. With light, dry material the system behaves differently than with heavy, moist material — that goes into the design.

  • 01

    Intake across the full length

The trough conveyor takes material over the distance you specify.

  • 02

    Matched, not overfilled

The trough screw follows the output of the moving floor — otherwise the trough overflows.

  • 03

    Straight on upwards

Connects to the vertical conveyor without an intermediate station.

Further tasks from Biomass

  • Bunker fillingMaterial taken from the intake hopper and conveyed vertically into the bunker — up to 28 metres with no transfer station.
  • Silo fillingFilling silos via horizontal intake and a vertical conveyor — in service in plants over 20 metres high.
  • Pellet screw and pellet conveyorMoving finished pellets from the store or big bag to the boiler — and, in a pellet mill, conveying within production itself.
